Oleificio Guccione was established in 1966 in Chiaramonte Gulfi, a small baroque village in the heart of the Iblei Mountains in Sicily, notorious for its remarkable olive oil, considered the best on the island . Guccione follows a traditional artisanal method passed along to the third generation in the family. The olives are delicately picked by hand from the secular trees characterized by large intertwined trunks in the Chiaramonte Gulfi valley. The harvested olives are processed into oil within hours from the harvest in the family mill by cold extracting to allow to bring out the most intense flavor of the olives and the highest concentration of nutritional benefits inside the olive oil in each extraction stage. The result is a delicate yet intense, exceptionally tasty, full bodied and balanced Extra Virgin Olive Oil rich in Polyphenols (Antioxidants) and Vitamins and with low acidity. Each bottle is a very special and unique masterpiece that embodies the tradition, scent and colors of the beautiful territory it comes from.
