The smoothly swept claws were borrowed from our 999 Rip Hammer, and the extra larger striking face, hatchet eye and sturdy handle are a heritage of our Rigbuilders Hatchet. The hatchet style handle is best grade, second growth hickory. To provide extra strength, the handle has a large cross section where it joins the fully polished head.
