A single (1) blanket weighs 3.5 pounds, or 43 pounds/dozen (lbs./dz) and are made to be light weight for easier usage than traditional economy blankets. The material of Econo Saver Moving Blankets consists of a strong, nonwoven, blue polyester fabric wrapped around a thick batting made of 100% recycled cotton for better shock absorption and additional padding. The cloth is bound by a 2 nonwoven textile binding and the cotton batting is secured by a zigzag stich pattern to keep it in place. Unlike a regular industrial blanket, these padded blankets are thin, making them more useful for packing and shipping items. Nevertheless, these utility blankets still work to cover and protect freight like appliances, furniture, and other items.
