The Tekton 3/16 Inch Tip Probe is ideal for precision applications. The probes narrow, blunted tip wont damage delicate components. The probe tapers to a 1 inch long straight tip thats 0.185 inches in diameter and fits into 3/16 inch holes. The classic square handle is long and slender with contoured sides for overall versatility and maneuverability. The AISI 8650 steel shank is made from a strong Ni-Cr-Mo alloy thats hardened to 50-54 HRC. The handle is made from glass-reinforced nylon thats resistant to fuels, oils, and chemicals. Our family of mini pry bar, probe, pick, and hook products is made entirely in Michigan with only USA-sourced materials. Machining, bending, coining, handle molding, and press-fitting the handle and shank take place at our Grand Rapids, Michigan, manufacturing facility.
