The Shiv Shakti Arts 4 Litre Copper Kadai is the largest model in this collection and is designed for generous household portions, family meals and festive cooking. Its broad 27 cm opening and rounded body provide a spacious chamber for stirring vegetables, simmering curries, preparing dal and gravy, and cooking pulao, biryani, paneer, korma, halwa, kheer and other traditional dishes. The exterior is crafted from hammered copper, giving the Kadai a distinctive warm and traditional appearance. The inside cookingcontact surface has a traditional tin, or Kalai, lining. A matching hammered copper lid supports covered cooking, while two brass loop handles assist with balanced lifting and table presentation. The Kadai weighs approximately 1900 g and has a capacity of approximately 4 litres. It measures 10 cm in height without the lid and 13 cm with the lid. Its depth is 9.5 cm, top diameter is 27 cm and base diameter is 13.5 cm. Cook using low to medium heat and never heat the Kadai while empty. Use wooden or silicone utensils to help protect the inside lining. The vessel, lid and brass handles become hot during use, so handle them with dry heatresistant gloves. Obtain assistance when lifting the vessel while it is heavily filled. Hand wash using mild dishwashing liquid and a soft sponge. Dry immediately after washing. Copper naturally reacts with air and may darken or develop patina, which is a normal property of the material. Use copper cleaner only on the exterior and arrange professional reKalai when the inner coating becomes visibly thin or worn.
