Product DescriptionThe Defender Security U 9540 Solid Brass Lock and Door Reinforcer assists in preventing forced entry by reinforcing the weak spot of your door. It can be used to reinforce and repair metal, fiberglass and wood doors. Constructed of solid brass, the lock reinforcer plate comes in a brass finish. All the necessary mounting hardware is included for a quick and easy installation. The lock reinforcement plate is prepunched for mounting. The reinforcer is designed for snug fit on a 13/8 inch thick doors. Measuring 37/8 inch wide by 9 inch tall, the reinforcement plate accommodates keyin knob locksets on doors that have 21/8 inch bore sizes, with a backset of 23/8 inch from the edge of the door. The door reinforcer is recessed for latch installation when door latch area is damaged. Install the door reinforcer and then insert the latch through the recessed area for proper mounting.From the ManufacturerThis latch guard is constructed from steel and comes finished in gray. It is designed to protect your door from forced entry. This style latch guard is used on inswinging doors.
