These stones, often standing sentry in commemoration of a loved one or as a territorial marker, are a fascinating piece of ancient history. Many like to believe that Ogham is connected to Druidic practice, and that it is a "language of the trees" or perhaps even part of runic divination. While there is little proof that Ogham is connected to these mystic arts, it can be difficult to argue that these stones don't have a certain magic about them.
