The Lakai Cambridge is a low-top skate shoe built around one idea: keep the shoe simple, keep it close to the board, and make the parts that wear out first the strongest parts of the shoe. The upper carries its suede through the high-wear panels, with breathable mesh for airflow and reinforced stitching where your foot meets the grip tape. Underneath, a vulcanized rubber outsole with a hex tread pattern gives you the direct board feel and quick flick that vulcanized construction is known for, plus reliable traction on concrete, wood, and painted surfaces. Inside, a cushioned footbed takes the sting out of landings and a padded collar and tongue keep pressure off the ankle. The low-profile silhouette leaves your ankle free for flip tricks while staying clean enough to wear all day. Good for: street skating, park and bowl sessions, cruising, commuting, standing all day, and everyday casual wear. Sizing runs true to standard US mens sizing. Break-in is short - the upper softens and the sole loosens within the first few sessions. Lakai is a skater-owned footwear brand, and the Cambridge is one of its longest-running silhouettes.
