OVERVIEW
EcoRag replaces the Ecosponge, following the disappearance of Tommy's Farm in the Philippines which made the Ecosponge for Green Oil. The EcoRag is British made. The material is thick and durable. And it can be put in the washing machine.
Carbon fibre safe, EcoRag gives soft frame cleaning results. Made in Britain with over 1000 square centimetres per cloth, EcoRag complements Green Oil’s Drive Chain Brush for detailed bicycle cleaning. Recycled from waste clothing, EcoRag helps divert fabrics from landfill – meaning less climate changing methane, and greater cleaning effectiveness. Each EcoRag is unique with real cotton.

- Recycled: Every EcoRag is completely unique! They are largely made from thick cotton sweater cotton. This is super soft for frame cleaning and tough enough to wipe down your frame too. Everyone Ecorage is unique and upcycled!
- Compostable: Aside from the occasional nylon label and print, EcoRag is mostly compostable. It is biodegradable and can go on your compost heap if it ever wears out. It is Petrochemical free, so you're not putting fragments of petrochemicals into the environment when using it.

Why not use a natural sea sponge?
Apparently too many people want sponges from the bottom of the sea, and people taking too many is damaging the ecosystem in various places.
So growing sponges using fair trade principles is the way forward, rather than using sea sponges.
