Green grass, lightning bugs, picnic lunches, reading books in the sunshine, picking wildflowers, scrapbooking, and sewing scrappy quilts -- this is Summer Skies and Fireflies. This collection was inspired by nostalgic, warm, summer afternoons where cares seem to melt away and life feels simple. I wanted to design a fabric collection that would represent the simple things that stay the same in an ever-changing world: feelings of home, the sun coming up every morning, and fireflies dancing when the crickets start to sing at dusk. The colors in this collection are a summer picnic dream of grass and leaf greens, sweet petal pinks, sunny yellows and oranges, picnic reds, and sky aquas -- a combination that lends itself perfectly to scrappy, colorful, and playful quilts!
