It's the same as the Base Set with the exclusive Creators & Backer expansion, but with a slightly taller box to fit your components better, updated rules, new ways to play, and more rule clarifications.
WTF did you make a 2nd Edition for?
We promised that the first 1000 copies of the Base Set with the included Creators & Backers expansion would be a limited-time-only product. So now we are releasing the 2nd Edition with a better box and updated rules for all of the new players that buy our game.
