Designed for pilots and aviation enthusiasts who want Method Seven optics beyond the flight deck, this limited edition features a matte black TR90 frame, nonpolarized FLT18 lenses, and exclusive U-2 artwork by aviation artist BVR. Inspired by timeless Wayfarer styling, the Evolution offers a comfortable, versatile fit for everyday wear. Its durable, flexible TR90 thermoplastic construction accommodates a range of face shapes, while concealed flex hinges allow the temples to adapt comfortably to different head widths. Rubberized temple tips provide additional grip to help keep the sunglasses in place. The all black finish creates a clean, understated appearance suited to travel, driving, and outdoor activities. FLT18 polycarbonate lenses provide 18% visible light transmission (VLT), a versatile medium tint for sunny and mixed daylight conditions. Developed by M7 Labs in Santa Cruz, California, proprietary notch filtering enhances contrast and helps distinguish details in clouds, terrain, and surrounding landscapes while maintaining balanced, natural colors. The neutral gray viewing tint features an exterior blue flash mirror finish and anti reflective coating to manage bright sunlight and distracting reflections. Full UV protection shields eyes from ultraviolet radiation. Unlike polarized sunglasses, FLT18 lenses help preserve visibility of electronic flight instruments, GPS units, and other displays without polarization interference. Lightweight, shatter resistant polycarbonate lenses are drop ball tested for impact resistance. The Evolution weighs 31.5 grams and features a 6 base decentered lens curve.
