Pour used frying oil through the fine mesh filter and the residue stays behind, leaving clean oil ready to reuse, a simple kitchen oil filter and oil separator for cooking that makes every batch of oil last longer, and it works just as well as an oil strainer for deep fryer cleanup or straining liquids other than oil. As a frying oil container it stores filtered oil, bacon grease, lard or ghee, with a tight lid that seals out dust and odors, it is refrigerator safe, and the 50 included wax paper sheets are handy for draining fried food, so it earns its keep as a grease can for kitchen with strainer duty after every breakfast. Drop in the perforated basket and it becomes a stove top fryer for fried chicken, french fries, tempura, onion rings or noodles, and the whole set works on gas, electric, ceramic, induction and wood burning stoves, BBQ grills and open flame, so it packs along for camping and RV trips. The pot body measures 5.9 x 6.3 inches with an eagle spout for drip free pouring and a heat resistant silicone coated handle, the frying basket is 4.9 x 5.4 inches with a detachable silicone coated handle, the dust cover and fine mesh filter are 5.1 inches across, the stainless tongs are 6.7 inches, and the set weighs about 2.3 pounds. A measuring scale up to 2000ml is printed inside the pot. This cooking oil filter and grease strainer comes apart fully, and every piece is dishwasher safe. Please note: no thermometer or recipe book is included, and this is a stove top pot, not an electric fryer.
