San Damiano Jewelry
Meaningful Catholic Jewelry
What Happened to St. Francis of Assisi while praying in a church in San Damiano?
The San Damiano crucifix displays an icon of Christ's passion; the image is said to have spoken to Saint Francis of Assisi while he was praying in the ruins of an old church in San Damiano. "Build My Church" may all who wear this image remember our fidelity as Catholics and to Christ's Bridegroom. Franciscans regard the San Damiano Crucifix as a symbol of their mission to serve and rebuild the church.
Where is the Original San Damiano Crucifix?
The Original San Damiano Crucifix is the Basilica of St. Clare in Assisi, Italy. There is a replica in the Original place where St. Francis received his message.
St. Francis Prayer
"Most High glorious God, bring light to the darkness of my heart. Give me the right faith, certain hope, and perfect charity, insight, and wisdom, so I can always observe Thy holy and true command. Amen."
