This soft "butter" is a hydrogenation of roasted coffee oil from coffee beans. It holds a rich tan color and smells just like strong coffee. The coffee oil we use to manufacture this butter is "planet-friendly" in that it comes from a coffee recycling program.å ‰ÛÊ This certainly doesn't mean its 'old' coffee, but rather that its gleaned from another industry within the coffee business.å ‰ÛÊ This makes our oil an eco friendly choice over oils that are obtained from material that is used for only one industry.å ‰ÛÊ Even better, the palm used within this product, to give it a creamy texture, is both organic and sustainably harvested!
This butter can be used in body butters, soaps, lotions, lip balms and just about any manner of cosmetics. It holds a slightly lower melting point than shea butter, but it will still pass a nicely consistency into your recipes. Not to mention a tan-ish color and coffee scent. Suggested ratios are: lotion & creams: 3-5%, lip balms: 5-100%, bar soaps: 3-6%.
