Super Nintendo non oem reproduction, Chrono Trigger video game cartridge.

Chrono Trigger is a landmark 1995 role-playing video game developed and published by Square (now Square Enix) for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). Widely considered one of the greatest video games ever made, it is celebrated for its revolutionary time-travel plot, memorable characters, and innovative gameplay.

Core Premise & Plot

• The Spark: The story begins in AD 1000 at the Millennial Fair, where a young protagonist named Crono meets a girl named Marle. [1, 2]
• The Incident: Crono's inventor friend, Lucca, showcases a teleporter teleportation device that malfunctions, throwing Marle into a time portal. [1, 2]
• The Mission: Crono travels through time to rescue her, uncovering a dark future where a parasitic alien entity named Lavos awakens in AD 1999 to destroy the planet.

The Journey: Players must navigate multiple eras—including Prehistory (65,000,000 BC), the Dark Ages (12,000 BC), the Middle Ages (AD 600), the Present (AD 1000), and the Post-Apocalyptic Future (AD 2300)—to alter history and prevent the global catastrophe.

Gameplay Mechanics

·        Visible Enemies: Unlike most JRPGs of its era, Chrono Trigger eliminated random encounters. Enemies are visible on the map, allowing players to sneak past or engage them directly.

·        Seamless Battles: Combat takes place right on the exploration screen rather than loading into a separate battle arena.

·        Active Time Battle (ATB) 2.0: Battles run on a modified turn-based clock where character positioning matters, as some attacks strike in wide lines or circular areas.

·        Tech Combos: Characters learn unique elemental and physical skills ("Techs") that can be combined into highly destructive Dual Techs or Triple Techs when multiple party members' gauges are full.

·        Multiple Endings: Depending on when and how you choose to defeat Lavos, the game offers 13 distinct endings, giving it unprecedented replay value.

The game's legendary status is largely credited to its production staff, famously dubbed the "Dream Team":

·        Hironobu Sakaguchi: The creator and mastermind behind the Final Fantasy series.

·        Yuji Horii: The creator and writer of the Dragon Quest series.

·        Akira Toriyama: The legendary manga artist behind Dragon Ball, who designed the game's distinctive characters and art style.

·        Yasunori Mitsuda & Nobuo Uematsu: Composed the iconic, critically acclaimed musical soundtrack.
