There are 6 buttons (HI, MED, LOW, OFF) to control the speed of the fan and off. The LIGHT/DIMMER button control the light brightness dimmer and on/off. The REVERSE button controls the forward or reverse of the ceiling fan Light dimmer just controls the brightness of the incandescent lights and dimmable LED lamps. Most LED lights and all CFL lights are Not Dimmable, and the remote only control the On/Off in that case. Check the part number on the back of your original remote, it need to have one of the FCC ID/Model numbers listed below.
