Description:
Mother of Pearl, also known as nacre, is an iridescent substance found on the inner shell of some mollusks. It displays a captivating play of colors, often shimmering with hues of pink, blue, green, and gold. This organic gem is commonly used in jewelry, watch faces, and decorative items for its natural beauty and elegance.
Fun Fact:
Mother of Pearl has been used for thousands of years in art and jewelry, admired by ancient civilizations like the Egyptians and Chinese. The substance forms naturally as the mollusk secretes layers of nacre to protect itself from irritants. In addition to its aesthetic appeal, Mother of Pearl is believed to have calming and stress-relieving properties, promoting emotional balance and harmony.
