Apply to Cone 04 bisque, then fire to Cone 5-6. Heavy iron reduction look in oxidation; suitable for red or white clay. 16 oz. (473 mL) jar. Layerable and mixable mid-high fire (Cone 5-6) AMACO Shino SH Matte Glazes give a traditional high-iron look to any high fire clay body. Formulated for stoneware and porcelain, the Shino series offers opaque, iron-rich colors. Results will vary depending on thickness of application: A thin application favors the warm rust base, while a thick application favors the opaque coloration. Blendable to get gloss or matte variations; try mixing colors within the line for unique results! Great for layering with AMACO Potters Choice PC Glazes. Lead-free and food safe.
