Description:
Abalone is a mesmerizing gemstone sourced from the inner shells of sea mollusks, known for its iridescent swirls of blue, green, purple, and pink. Its stunning, ocean-like colors make it a favorite for creating unique, eye-catching jewelry. Abalone is often associated with emotional balance, soothing energy, and a deep connection to the sea.
Fun Fact:
Abalone shells have been used in many cultures for centuries, not only for jewelry but also in ceremonial rituals. Native American tribes used abalone in smudging ceremonies, believing it would help connect with the ocean’s healing energy. The iridescent quality of abalone is due to layers of nacre, also known as mother-of-pearl, which reflect light in brilliant ways.
