Remove this cap before initial use and store it for later. When not using the system for an extended period, replace the cap to prevent the filter from drying out. Prime the filter before use: Priming Instructions: 1. Fill a clean container with water and fully submerge the new water filter. Soak it for at least 30 minutes. While submerged, Tilt it underwater to release air bubbles from both ends. 2. Remove the filter from the water. Cover its holes with your fingers or the provided black caps, then shake it vigorously. Gently tap it against a countertop to dislodge any residual manufacturing carbon dust. 3. Screw the new water filter into the upper chamber. 4. Return the upper chamber to the system by placing it securely onto the lower chamber. 5. Fill the upper chamber with water and let it drain into the lower chamber. Once the lower chamber is full,discard this first batch of water, as it may contain residual manufacturing dust. The system is now ready for use. Package Includes: 2387 Pro filter 2 Pack
