Timber Drum Co. is a small workshop located in Nashville, Tennessee dedicated to crafting MADE IN U.S.A. instruments with locally sourced materials. The Timber Drum Co. Cajon Slap Mallet is a must-have for drummers and percussionists. This mallet allows you to get the authentic sound of playing with your hand without the pain and inconsistency. We are able to get this sound using a weighted and flexible mallet core encased in super durable canvas. It works on many percussion instruments but especially well on cajon, djembe, congas and bongos. You can even use it for special effects on the drum set. For the grip, we use a durable and thick solid birch handle that feels great in your hand (3/4thick). This handle feels like a thick drumstick and is long enough to accommodate any grip that feels comfortable for you. Test it out and get creative. (Pro Tip: some players like using the Slap Mallet in one hand and rods or brush in the other hand.). Made in Nashville, Tennessee, U.S.A (single mallet only).
